Puerto Lopez Mateos is the
gateway to the northern part of Magdalena Bay This is the panhandle where Gene
Kira spent much of his time while doing the research for his popular “Baja
Catch”. As he found grouper, mangrove snapper, pargo, corvina, pompano and of
course the spotted bay bass all can be found in the miles and miles of uncharted
mangrove channels. Either a panga or pontoon boat is a great way to explore these quiet
backwaters for that memorable catch. |
